Compatibility and Connectivity
Transducers are compatible with:
ST40, i40, ST60+, i50 on the SeaTalk1 network
ST70, ST70+ and i70 on the SeaTalkng network
SeaTalk1
These transducers are compatible with:
ST40 Bidata
ST60+ Tridata
i40 Bidata
i50 Tridata
The transducer simply connects to the back of the instrument.
The transducers above can also be used to connect to a Depth and Speed Instrument on the SeaTalk1 network. For example:
ST40 Depth and ST40 Speed
i40 Depth and i40 Speed
ST60+ Depth and ST60+ Speed
i50 Depth and i50 Speed
In this case the depth cables from the transducer connect to the back of the Depth Display and the speed cables into the back of the Speed Display.
SeaTalkng
The transducers above are also compatible with ST70, ST70+ and i70 instrument displays on the SeaTalkng network via a depth and speed pod or an iTC-5 (pods and iTC-5 sold separately).
The transducer is connected either to the Speed and Depth pods or the iTC-5 which converts the transducer signals to SeaTalkng. The pods or iTC-5 is then connected to your SeaTalkng backbone.
Pod or iTC-5?
Pods are available for depth, speed and wind and the transducer should only be connected to the associated pod (i.e. depth transducer to depth pod).
For recording both depth and speed/temp with the transducers above you will require a depth pod and a speed pod.
The iTC-5 (image above right) can convert transducer signals for depth, speed/temp, wind, compass and rudder reference all in the one unit, eliminating the need for multiple pods.
