Octopus Electrical Service Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy Statements

Shipping

Octopus Electrical Service ships locally in Thailand (Bangkok, Satun, Pattaya, Chang Mai, and beyond) and Internationally, including Langkawi, using competitive rates by Kerry Express or TNT Transport.

If you order and pay using our online shopping site then we offer free shipping in Thailand for orders over 16,000 Baht for Retail purchases. just place an order in our online store and this will calculate the shipping for you. Direct phone or email orders do not qualify for this free shipping offer.

Certain Limitations apply to dangerous goods delivery, and we arrange such shipments on case by case basis. Please contact Octopus Electrical Service for more Information.

Workshop Service Repair Work

Items dropped off at Octopus Electrical Service for repair or checking – We will hold the item for 6mths after 6 months we are no longer be responsible for the item and if its lost or missing then no compensation will be considered.

If a Item has been repaired by OES and the customer has NOT paid the repair invoice cost then after 6 months we will put the item up for sale to recover the cost of the repair,  no compensation will be paid for any losses to the owner.

All repair work has a 30 day warranty repair but only for the original repair issue.

Warranty Replacements/Repairs

Victron

This product has a 5-year limited warranty given by the manufacturer. This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in this product and lasts for five years from the date of original purchase of this product. To claim warranty the customer must return the product together with the receipt of purchase to the point of purchase. This limited warranty does not cover damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from alteration, modification, improper or unreasonable use or misuse, neglect, exposure to excess moisture, fire, improper packing, lightning, power surges, or other acts of nature. This limited warranty does not cover damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from repairs attempted by anyone unauthorized by Victron Energy to make such repairs. Non-compliance with the instructions in this manual will render the warranty void. Victron Energy is not liable for any consequential damages arising from the use of this product. The maximum liability of Victron Energy under this limited warranty shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the product.

Exception to the above is ALL Victron Batteries only have a 2 year limited warranty, check the victron website for details

Note Warranty extension. The 5 year warranty period can be extended for a further 5 years (10 Years in total) with a payment of a 10% charge, (this does not apply to Victron Batteries) this can be applied anytime up and until the item is 4 Years old. (you pay 10% of the retail price at the time of payment for the extension)

Victron warranty is not transferable to the next owner

Victron products not purchased from octopus Electrical Service  have to be returned to the original seller for repair when claiming Victron warranty.

Raymarine/Flir

Raymarine products have a 2 year limited warranty from the invoice date we sold it to you and then a optional 1 year extension if you the customer register the items on Raymarine’s web site within 3 months of purchase this then gives a total of 3 years manufacturers warranty.  Raymarine Onboard warranty is only offered when Octopus Electrical Service,  sell the goods and install the purchased items.   Please check with Raymarine for full warranty terms and conditions as the above is a sample only of there terms.

Raymarine/Flir warranty is not transferable to the next owner.

Raymaine/Fir products not purchased from Octopus Electrical Service  must be returned to the place of purchase if claiming warranty.

Workshop service work/repairs

All repairs have a 1 month warranty on the REPAIRED problem only, ie if a item is repaired and a different problem occurs this is not covered under warranty.   If a repair fails in the warranty period and cant be fixed then a credit will be applied for the value of the repair against a new replacement unit. There is a 500 baht inspection fee payable on all items dropped off for repair, This inspection fee is waved if a new unit is purchased or you proceed with the repair.

Other Products

All other new Products that we sell have manufactures warranty. These products has a limited warranty given by that supplier. This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in this product and lasts for there stated warranty period from the date of original purchase of this product. To claim warranty the customer must return the product together with the receipt of purchase to the point of purchase. This limited warranty does not cover damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from alteration, modification, improper or unreasonable use or misuse, neglect, exposure to excess moisture, fire, improper packing, lightning, power surges, or other acts of nature. This limited warranty does not cover damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from repairs attempted by anyone unauthorized by the Said Manufacturer to make such repairs. It is up to the Manufacture to determine if a product is covered by warranty. Non-compliance with the instructions in this manual if provided  will render the warranty void. Octopus Electrical Service is not liable for any consequential damages arising from the use of the said product. The maximum liability of Octopus Electrical Service under this limited warranty shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the product.

DUTY and Tax’s

Any duty or taxes applied by the Thailand Customs service in relation to Items replaced under Warranty is the responsibility of the purchaser/Owner to pay, Ie if a item is replace and the Thai customs service charge a import fee then the purchaser has to pay this fee before the goods will be released.

Onsite work and onsite repairs

We will only warrant the work we have done, we do not warrant consequential damage to any other items equipment or structures, if any damage is done to these. It is the customers responsibility to have the item/job we are working on adequately Insured.

On Going Support after product purchase and or instalation

Octopus Electrical Service staff are happy to provide email, text or phone support for 30 days after the purchase of a product  and or installation of a product form us to help with setup questions. or our staff can come to site and Install and setup the instrument for you or even train you on its operation and setup, this service is based on a hourly service charge.

Quires after this time then a Hourly service fee is charged.  min 1 Hr is charge and the consulting advise can be used for multi questions until the 1 hr time period is used , this 1 Hr period expires after 14 Days and can only be used for Phone or email support.

Refunds/Retuns

Our Returns policy is 7 days from invoice date.

  1. Goods must be returned in original unopened and undamaged packaging.
  2. Goods must be returned to us before  7 days from date of invoice.
  3. All shipping costs must be paid for by the returnee.
  4. Some items cant be returned, ie. any electronic Item that has been removed from its package, or any item purchased as a ‘special order on the customers behalf
  5. Original invoice must be supplied.
  6. A RMA number must be obtained from us before returning the goods.
  7. A restocking fee of 25% maybe applied on items meeting the above requirements, but outside the 7 days return limit at our discretion.

Once the returned goods have been received and inspected, we will send you an email notifying you that we have received your returned item.

If you are approved for a refund, Your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or by original method of payment, within 14 working days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund after 14 days, first check your bank account again.
